Artists. Psychedelics help creativity.

Fall 2024 - Adobe illustrator & Indesign, printed on Cardstock Matt 67lb Paper

A university project exploring the French technique of 'detournement,' involving the rerouting and remixing of archival sources from the Prelinger Library in San Francisco to generate a new conceptual book.

The source material I remixed was Print: America’s Graphic Design Magazine, a 1972 publication that explored Designing for TV. I reimagined the concept of this source, selecting bold and colourful graphics to create an interactive, dual-sided, animated flipbook. The flipbook advocates for why artists might explore psychedelics to enhance creativity. My new concept aims to encourage artists to consider how altered states of consciousness can expand their perspectives and unlock new creative dimensions.
